The children -

On these web pages you can read more about the 21 children we are with the help of our foundation: Doreen is currently doing her Internship at Sheraton Hotel Kampala; Dorcas works in a beauty salon; Daphine works at a restaurant and Oscar finished the vocational training in car mechanics. Ten children are in Primary School; six children go to Secondary School and one young lady goes to University.

Doreen - 26 years

Chef and Barista- Doreen has finished her diploma education in cooking and catering and she also got qualified as a barista. She is currently conducting internship at Sheraton Hotel Kampala. Doreen was amongst the first children to receive help from the foundation to go to school. After finishing secondary school, she chose to make her dream come true to become a chef. Doreen is the eldest and helps Rosette wherever she can to arrange everything for the younger children. “I am very grateful to all our dear sponsors for the opportunity to go to school. I could have been somewhere deep in the village of my father with like 4 children now and no promised future and education for myself and them. You have made me proud of myself and where I am in life. There are many young girls of my age that dream of being in my position and so I consider myself lucky to have you all in my life. Thank you very much for loving and caring for us all. I pray that my siblings and all the children in the care of Auntie Rosette Foundation make it to the same level I am at or even better so your hard work and commitment is not wasted. I am who I am because of you. Long live!”

Daphine - 24 years

Waitress in a restaurant. Daphine was one of the first children we started supporting with the foundation. Unfortunately, she was sent away from school three years ago, because she got pregnant. She is a proud mother of two children now, but the relationship with the father of her children did not work out. Last year Daphine decided to go back to school with the help of Stichting Auntie Rosette. She did a short course in cooking and making coffee and found a job at a restaurant. “I am very grateful to Auntie Rosette and her friends for giving me a second chance to go back to school. You have given me an opportunity to work hard for my children and my future. Thank you”

Dorcus - 22 years

Beautician and hairdresser. Dorcus finished secondary education and vocational training in beauty and hair styling. She lives with her mother Molly and found a job at a beauty salon in the nearest town. “I completed my studies, and I am now a hairdresser and beautician at a Salon in Ntungamo. My first client was Daphine since she lives in Ntungamo too and she was happy with my work. This motivates me to continue and learn more.”
