Frank - 13 years

7th grade Kashanda Primary School. Frank is a boy from the village of Kamahuri who receives support from our foundation to go to school since 2016. His parents could not pay the school fees and additional costs. “I thank God, he blessed me with intelligence, even when I get illness-challenges and be absent from school. When I come back, I still win and become number one in my class. I am confident that I will score a first grade.” When Frank was 7 he already used to say: “Me, I am always the best student in my class and I want to be the best until primary seven and even in secondary school. Thank you, Auntie Rosette.”

Adeline - 12 years

6th grade Kashanda Primary School. Adela is the youngest at home and she was stimulated at a young age to study hard. She used to say: “When I get a good position at school, I feel happy. But when my friend wins me, I cry because I want to win all the time. Adela passed quickly through primary, but now she has to wait another year to go the last grade. “I wanted to join Susan and the others in Primary 7, but I see their work is very hard for me when I tried to do their exams. So I thought it was better to wait and learn everything according to my age bracket. Good enough, I will also join boarding school next year in P7. I am looking forward to that day. Thank you, auntie Stefanie, aunt Jacoline, aunt Dorine and aunt Kirsten and everyone who love us and support us every day. We love you.”

Mujungu - 7 years

Mujungu is in the second year of kindergarten. He is called Mujungu (white) because he was very fascinated by a white man he once met when he was a very little boy.

Shalom - 11 years

4th grade Kashanda Primary School. Shalom, along with her cousin Adela, is the youngest of the children. The two are inseparable and since the new house was built, Shalom prefers to live with Adela and her aunt Molly. Shalom is the youngest sister of Sophia, Mujungu and Aggrey. Their parents were not able to pay school fees for them, therefore they are being helped by our foundation. “I love my school and my performance is good. Every time I join another class we get more work to do but I still like it at my school. When Adela’s group leaves primary, me and Anderson will be left alone but it’s good we are making our own friends now and maybe we will also join boarding school in P7. I feel sorry for the kids that were sent away for school fees and other school requirements. But we have never been sent away, because we don’t lack anything. Thanks to you all.”
